As an official event of the Florida Black Excellence platform, Par of Excellence provides a unique opportunity for minority-owned businesses and professionals to connect with decision-makers, showcase their expertise, and cultivate meaningful partnerships both on and off the course. Participants will engage in a day of competition, collaboration, and community while supporting initiatives that promote economic growth and business development throughout Florida.

Held in Jacksonville, Florida, Par of Excellence attracts a diverse audience of executives, business owners, elected officials, and community leaders who share a commitment to advancing excellence through commerce, culture, and connection. Beyond the game itself, the event serves as a forum for networking, mentorship, and strategic relationship-building that can lead to lasting business opportunities.

Rooted in the spirit of Florida Black Excellence, Par of Excellence celebrates achievement, leadership, and the power of collective progress—proving that some of the most impactful conversations happen between the tee box and the clubhouse.

With over 20 Chefs and Recipes, your senses will embark upon savory and sweet dishes influenced by infusions from various countries, states, cities, burrows, farms and kitchens flowing from inspirations of ancestors, parents and passions. The variety of food stretches from the motherland and extends into every continent African Americans have impacted. During this eloquent signature event, you will get to play a role in choosing the winners of awards such as Best Dish, Top Chef, Best Presentation and much more. In addition, you will enjoy an open bar, and live entertainment.

The FBX Taste of Excellence is our philanthropic affair stemming from our Education Column. Through partnerships with community partners, over $20,000 in scholarships and funding for academic enrichment and after school programs has been raised over the past few years.

The purpose of the Florida Black Excellence Festival is to promote economic development through increased exposure for minority-owned businesses. African-American owned businesses have the opportunity to showcase their products and services to the public and procurement. It is also an opportunity for major corporations and government entities to develop viable working relationships with minority-owned businesses while marketing their products and services to the growing consumer market. The FBX is also a forum to educate, enlighten and inspire the entire community and the African-American community in particular. Aside from economic development, exposure to cultural resources is a part of the focus for this event.

The FBX Event is a three-day event held in Jacksonville, Florida, attracting over 200 exhibitors and 17,000 visitors. This concept was inspired by Black Expo USA, a national event that traveled the country. Although the traveling version of the event no longer exists, other Black Expo events continue to be successfully held in cities such as Chicago, New York and Indianapolis. Events of this kind are the largest showcase of its kind to directly target the African-American community.
